Slight Risk in Arkansas and Mississippi

As we’ve been sharing with you this week, it’s a rainy week in much of Arkansas. It’s also bringing a slight risk for some Big Bad Storms. The map above is from the Storm Prediction Center and is valid for today.

While there are going to be some showers and storms around, the further south you go, the less rain chances you see. We’re watching some high pressure develop in in the Gulf of Mexico the next couple of days. That’s going to keep the rain chances away from the coast. It’s also going to keep the focus on more rain this week flowing through Arkansas, which could lead to flooding problems as the week progresses.
