Some Saturday Storms

Hope you get a chance to get outside today and enjoy the weather for at least a little bit. A bike ride or a walk around the neighborhood could be good for you both body and spirit. And, if you wait until Saturday, you may miss your chance.

This is the HRRR model’s simulated radar output for right around noon on Saturday. You’ll notice a line of storms from just east of San Antonio through Ft. Smith Arkansas. This line will move eastward through the day.

Right now, it doesn’t look like a huge risk for Big Bad Storms. Yes, we expect lightning and thunder, but most of the energy associated with this system is much further north near the Great Lakes. That area is more likely to see the worst of this system. However, since temperatures have gotten so warm recently, there will still be energy to play with, and it’s worth watching. So, we’ll keep an eye on it for you.
