There are a couple of chances for Big Bad Storms this week, starting in West Texas. The Storm Prediction Center says there’s a Slight Risk tomorrow and Wednesday from the Big Bend to the Panhandle. The image above is from the NAM model for Tuesday evening, and you can see all of the storms firing up in a squall line into Oklahoma.

We’ll watch for some more rain to travel across the South later this week, with the heaviest rain day looking like it’s coming on Friday. But, because of an upper level high pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico, most of this rain will get shoved a little further north than the rains we experienced in February. That means it doesn’t currently look like a big flooding risk for Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
