Meteorologist Clay Ostarly

Clay worked in broadcast meteorology for 12 years. He began his career at KNOE in Monroe, LA as a Weekend Meteorologist and continued gaining experience at KSLA in Shreveport, LA. Clay then moved to the Midwest and worked for WOWT in Omaha, NE as a Morning and Midday Meteorologist. Most recently, Clay was promoted to Chief Meteorologist for Local News Live and helped one of the first fully digital national news networks kick off national weather coverage.

 

Clay studied Meteorology at The University of Louisiana - Monroe and holds a Seal of Approval from The National Weather Association.

Clay has tracked hurricanes and severe storms in the Deep South, heavy snow in the mountains of Virginia, and now has tracked blizzards and big tornadoes in The Plains.

 
 

Clay has been passionate about weather since he was a young kid. It’s a job he doesn’t consider work because he has so much fun doing it. As one of the founders of Storm Guides, Clay is dedicated to helping his neighbors feel safe and stay informed through the storm.
