Another round of Big Bad Storms is developing across the South this morning and will spread eastward during the day.

Just like last weekend, a large swath of a Moderate Risk has been placed from NW Louisiana to Alabama. This is a 4 out of 5 on the risk scale. Widespread damaging winds and some strong tornadoes are likely. We believe the worst of the weather will be along and south of I-20.

A Tornado Watch is in effect for much of East Texas and Louisiana until 3:00 pm. This means conditions are right for severe weather and tornadoes.

Models continue to show the chance for multiple rounds of severe weather today. A snapshot for this morning’s HRRR shows at least 3-4 different segments of storms. All will be capable of producing Big Bad Storms.

We will be live on the Big Bad Weather Blog answering any questions you have in real time. You can find that on our Facebook page.
