Another round of storms along the Gulf Coast

Adjustments.jpeg

This morning already brought some Big Bad storms along the I-20 corridor, but storms could focus closer to I-10 later today.

The Storm Prediction Center has a long strip of area between I-20 and I-10 highlighted for a Slight Risk if severe storms today. The larger population areas highlighted are New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mobile, and Tallahassee.

The earlier storms from this morning continue along I-20 at this time, but a new batch of storms may develop further south of those shortly.

Hi-res models show storms developing between now and 4:00pm and then pushing eastward through the evening. Main threats will so strong winds, and hail, but a tornado or two can’t be ruled out.
