Rain has already picked up again along the I-20 this afternoon, but even more is on the way for tonight.

Models continue to show additional waves of moderate to occasional heavy rain spreading from East Texas to Alabama along and on either side of I-20 through Thursday morning. A flash flooding threat remains possible through that time.

The bulk of the rain will push East and southeast during the day on Thursday. Areas like East Texas, Southern Arkansas, and North Louisiana should begin to dry up some during the afternoon with just some spotty lingering showers. The heaviest rain Thursday afternoon will be from Southeast Louisiana to Georgia.
