At Least It’s a Dry Cold?

Most of the eastern half of the country today is seeing some of the coldest temperatures of the season today. But, for most of the U.S., it’s a dry cold, for a change.

We are expecting a few light showers in the Plains today. Those will start off as snow, but could become mixed as the day warms just a bit this afternoon. But, as you can see from the image above, those don’t look like anything too big.

The rest of the weekend looks pretty good for most of the country. We have sunshine from Northern California to North Carolina. But, next Tuesday, things start to change.

This image is from the Storm Prediction Center. They are calling for a risk of Big Bad Storms in East Texas, Louisiana, South Arkansas, and Mississippi on Tuesday. This is from a storm system that will swing across Texas and then through the rest of the Southeastern U.S. through mid-week.
