Enjoy Your Weekend Weather

We are still expecting nice weather for most of the country this weekend, so make sure you get outside and enjoy a little sunshine. Since this weekend’s weather is looking good, we are looking at the next chance for Big Bad Storms, and they arrive next week.

This is the Day 5 Severe Weather Outlook map from the Storm Prediction Center. It is rightly highlighting an area that could see some strong storms developing on Tuesday.

We’re expecting an upper-level low pressure center to dig down into Arizona and then swing across Texas by Tuesday afternoon. Once it reaches East Texas, it will start to mix with moisture coming up out of the Gulf of Mexico, and the combination of the spinning air aloft with the relatively warmer and more humid air at the surface can create the conditions needed for storms to develop.
